Twitter blocks Pakistan govt account in India
Twitter on Thursday has announced that it has blocked the Pakistan government’s account in India in response to a legal demand.
According to the platform’s guidelines, it is required to withhold entire accounts in response to a valid legal demand, including court orders.
However, the @GovtofPakistan account can still be accessed from other countries, such as the United States and Canada.
Reuters has attempted to reach out to Twitter, India, and Pakistan’s IT ministries for comments, but there has been no immediate response.
