ISLAMABAD: An investigation is underway concerning former Inter-Services Intelligence Chief, Lt Gen (retd) Faiz Hamid, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah revealed on Wednesday while addressing a press conference.
He clarified that only the institution can conduct a court martial against Faiz Hamid and the GHQ has jurisdiction over military trials, not the Interior Ministry.
Sanaullah added that whatever action is being taken is necessary, and Imran Khan, the PTI Chairman, will be arrested if required.
He also requested Jamat-e-Islami to organize the Haya March on March 7 or 9, instead of March 8, as there are several events taking place on this day, including the Aurat March, which is observed for International Women’s Day.
The minister acknowledged the importance of the day for women, and how they take to the streets to highlight two different narratives.
